Zeitgeist: The Movie. Its Definitely Thought Provoking/Eye Opening, if Nothing Else.

As much time as I’ve spent on the internet, I’m surprised I hadn’t seen this until today. I’m sure you have probably heard about or even watched it yourself. Before I delve into a few thoughts about the film, lets give you the background on what it is. Basically the film focuses on three major things. Part I deals with Religion, or more specifically Christianity, and why it and many other religions are based off of ancient religions based around the sun, constellations, and the Zodiac. Part II of the film deals with 9/11 and takes the viewpoint that it was a well controlled plan orchestrated by our own government. Part III deals with our money system, and how bankers have carefully controlled everything to eventually lead to a united world currency, implant chips in every human, and basically world domination. To sum up what the film is about, I’d have to say its about manipulation and control of our, and the worlds society.

Part I. Part I lays out a whole bunch of stuff that I’ve never really heard before, with all the similarities between different religions, and then takes all of those similarities and ties them into the Zodiac and the seasons. It really is eyeopening and extremely thought provoking for sure. Religion is always a hotbutton issue with pretty much everyone on the planet, but this will make even true believers think. Not to say it will change their mind, and not that it should, but its definitely thought provoking, which is what I think is the point of this film, to think for yourself and not be a minion to what the government and society in general wants us to be.

Part II. Part II is all about 9/11 and all the inconsistencies in the evidence, and basically takes the stance that the government was behind the whole thing. It raises incredibly strong points, and definitely makes you question just what really happened on 9/11. Its mostly stuff you’ve probably seen and heard before, but its very well put together and crafts a strong theory throughout the part.

Part III. Part III is basically about our Federal Reserve system. How it came about, why its so completely screwed up, and the people behind it. This part is especially interesting, and talks about a lot of things I personally have been thinking about for a long time, especially with the current state of our money in this country at the present time. They also talk about the IRS and how there is NO LAW on the books that states we as citizens must pay income tax, and how the bill itself was not ratified by enough states to become law. And a whole lot more.

I’m not an expert in any of this stuff, but I thought after watching, it was interesting enough to share and perhaps discuss. It’s 2 hours of thought provoking material that will have you thinking for sure.

Here’s an excerpt from the very first section of part III. If you like it, head over to http://zeitgeistmovie.com/main.htm to watch the full 2 hour film. Also note, google video is goofy and doesn’t always load right. Just make sure when you go there the timecode on the far right reads 2:02:15.

Also, it looks like Zeitgeist: Addendum (Part II) is coming this October. Below is the Trailer.

I’m curious to hear peoples thoughts on the film. Again, its thought provoking if nothing else.

  1. Hey Mr. P

since you were not a fan of my mainstreak picks for shows to watch……would you like to put together 7 shows of your own to counter? I will list them next week.

  2. I suppose I can do that. And don’t get me wrong, I don’t want you to think I was trying to bash your picks or anything. They are all really well recieved/critically acclaimed shows. Several of which I tried to get into and enjoyed parts, but just wasn’t enough to hold my interest. For instance, Flight of the Condors and Its always sunny in Philadelphia. And the latter I probably didn’t give quite enough of a chance to really get into it. But yeah, I can put something together.
