Why the hell doesn’t Ron Paul get more support?
Lets see, Ron Paul wants to: Disband the IRS and abolish income tax. Pull all our troops home, and leave the rest of the world be, non-involvement in world affairs. Fully supports the Constitution and everything it stands for and was indented to stand for. Knows how screwed up the Federal Reserve system is. Believes in privacy and personal liberties. Wants to secure our borders. Believes in small government and less spending. And on and on and on.
So why in the world isn’t he getting more support? The fact that he’d eliminate the IRS and income tax is enough for my vote right there, as its completely unconstitutional. But then bringing ALL our troops home would be enough on its own. Our brothers, sisters, friends, sons, and daughters are over there going through the worst kind of hell they can endure coming back home missing limbs, psychologically damaged, or worse, and sadly not at all. Why the hell are we policing the world anyway. This country was founded with the intent on never getting involved in world affairs, and I believe we should go back to that. The guy just believes in the constitution and the brilliant men who wrote it, and knows how much corruption and greed has destroyed the constitution into a mere shell of its former self. He’s exactly what this country needs, and its exactly the time we need him, and its sad that we won’t get that chance.
I don’t normally delve into politics but I recently heard him speak about some of these issues, and I was just like, damn, this guy has it figured out so much better than all the other asshole politicians, and it just sucks he didn’t get the support or votes. What do you guys think of him? You can check him out at Ron Paul 2008.com.

I think people like that deserve more attention, change can be good.

I thought Ron Paul was out of the race? What party is he in…sounds like if he’s all about change he should contact Barack about being his running mate.

@ Cuzzy: I agree, which is why I made the post. The guy is 100x better than anyone else running, its just mind boggling how a guy like John McCain can win out so easily over a guy like this during the times we are stuck in.
@ Bryan: He’s a republican, and I’m not sure why he’s still running, I guess just to get the message about the constitution and civil liberties out there. He’s obviously got no chance to win at all, but I think he got something like 28% of the vote recently in Idaho, of course McCain got 70. So being republican and the way the stupid two party system is would never work with Obama and Paul. I think they differ on some issues as well too. Obama is the best choice we have left IMHO, but Paul is far superior to any other politician still in the running, again in my humble opinion.
