So I was watching the end of the news (on NBC since its the only news in HD here) because we’re supposed to get some bad weather tonight. In a fluke of normal TV viewing, I left it on and Wheel of Fortune came on. I don’t know why I left it on but I did, man, I probably haven’t even seen this show in like 10+ years. So anyway, they put up the first Puzzle where they keep adding letters until someone can guess the title, and that person gets to spin first to start the game. So the category was “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” and yes, you can see the answer was “TOSSING A SALAD.” Wow! Seriously?

Now don’t get me wrong, I guess that’s a potentially normal question and answer in daily life, but how did that get past their own censors? I mean seriously? What are you doing? Tossing a salad. Even the contestants were laughing their ass off, and the host, said something funny like, wow that came out of your mouth quick! Man, I was rolling. I had to rewind, pause, and snap a pic for all to see. That’s gotta be some writers funny idea of sliding in a potentially dirty phrase for their own amusement. I can see two guys sitting in the office writing and both coming up with hilarious questions and answers that would never get used, and then one coming up with this phrase, and the other daring him to turn it in. Probably even offered him money to do so.
