Star Wars: The Clone Wars Trailer

Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be hitting theatres August 15, and tonight we got our first full-length trailer which aired At 7:58 p.m. in all U.S. time zones on Cartoon Network, TNT, TBS, CNN, and Boomerang.

I for one am extremely happy that we’re still getting new Star Wars content. I think this format (Computer Animation) is perfect to keep the space opera alive long after the live action movies are done with. The trailer looks incredible and the great thing about the movie is we won’t have to wait long to get even more because the movies release leads directly in to this fall’s premiere of a weekly, animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series on Cartoon Network, followed by airings on TNT.

The clone wars is a nice place to start, but I can’t even wait for years down the road whenever they do the next movie/series, if they do one. Such an expansive, interesting, and entertaining universe deserves to keep having new content as often as possible, because lets face it, its popularity will not wain anytime soon.

Enjoy the trailer, its pretty awesome.

  1. I am a huge Star Wars fan, but I hadn’t heard about this Clone Wars series. I really liked the last one they had on Cartoon Network, but this looks 100x better.

  2. I definately agree. I didn’t get to see all of the previous ones, but the ones I did see were decent, but if I remember right they were really short, and obviously lower end animation compared to this. So I’m definitely looking forward to the new Clone Wars movie/series for sure.
