NBA OKC Expected to Formally Announce “Thunder” on Sep. 3
Newsok.com is officially reporting that the former Seattle Sonics franchise has scheduled a press conference for 5pm on September 3rd to announce the teams new nickname (Oklahoma City Thunder), new logo, and the teams 4 new colors. In light of this new announcement, I’ve posted some more renderings from artist Ian Baker that have caused a bit of a stir around the net this past week among some OKC Fans. A talented artist for sure, but this latest batch, IMO, leaves a lot to be desired in terms color combination. This batch is just too drab and bland, but what he has done with the colors and design overall is fairly nice. So why not use better colors and make it really nice? Anyway, the wait is almost over, so for now, enjoy some more mockups. (Click images for full sizes)
OMG! These are horrible. People are going to look like drab, washed out fans, coming and going to games. Can you imagine seeing a game on TV with all the fans wearing their throwbacks. It will be a sea of blah!!
LMAO. The important part to remember here is that these are “Artist Renderings” and are NOT the final colors or designs.
I think the OKC Organization/NBA know what they are doing by now with colors. At least I hope so, last thing we need is to look like this, or charlotte or the original raptors uni’s. Ugh.
Anyway, I’m sure the real deal will be better.
