Need Something To Watch This Week In HD?
I don’t know about you guys, but I can’t even watch regular SDTV anymore, and sometimes its hard to find good things to watch on the few HD Channels there are, which of course the number varies by provider and area. So I figured it’d be fun to give you a few Recommendations to watch this week in primetime and in HD. I’m gonna give you something entertaining and pretty to watch for each day of the week, starting with Monday…
May 5, Monday: The Big Bang Theory, How I met your Mother, Two and a Half Men, and Rules of Engagement. CBS from 8pm ET to 10pm ET.
CBS’ Monday comedy block is the best 2 hour block of sitcoms on TV these days. Starting off with the Big Bang Theory, lets face it, if you’re reading this blog or writing your own, you’re going to identify and love this show, check it out, you’ll see what I mean. How I met your Mother is a series thats been around a few years and seems to be holding its own, its not spectacular, but does have its moments, and week in and week out is a pretty good show. Two and a half men is pretty much just ridiculous comedy thats funny nearly every week. And Finally, Rules of Engagement, and if you haven’t seen this show you’re missing out, I don’t know why I like it so much but if you remember Putty from Seinfeld, and like him, you’ll like this show, even though he’s a bit of a different character here.
May 6, Tuesday: Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. HBO HD, 8pm-9:30pm ET.
Okay, okay, so the Fantastic Four movies aren’t nearly as fantastic as the Spider-Man, Batman, and now Ironman’s of the world, but hell, its entertaining nonetheless, and freakin’ gorgeous in HD.
May 7, Wednesday: Ratatouille. Starz HD, 8:08pm-10pm ET.
How can you not like Pixar movies? I mean seriously, they have tons for things for kids, for adults, and for both kids and adults, and Ratatouille lives up to the standards they set with the previous films. Actually, probably for the first time in a while, I actually like this movie more than a lot of their previous ones. So if you haven’t seen it yet, heres your chance, in sparkling HD!
May 8, Thursday: My Name is Earl / The Office. NBC HD, 8pm ET & 9pm ET Respectively.
If you haven’t been watching these shows your missing out. Jason Lee and Ethan Supplee are the ultimate pair in my name is Earl and in most episodes they will keep you laughing your ass off. Either them or the numerous other hilarious characters on the show, ain’t that right crabman? As for The Office, its definately not for everyone, but if you can get into and start enjoying a few episodes you’ll be hooked.
May 9, Friday: Survivorman. Discovery HD, 8pm ET
Les Stroud is entertaining as hell on this leave one man alone in a secluded place somewhere on the planet with nothing to survive but a few random tools and his survivor skills. Probably the most interesting thing is that he’s out there all alone so he has to do all the camera work, I laugh every time I see him walk way out into the distance knowing he had to turn around walk back to get the camera, and go all the way back and do it again. I’m sure it makes the whole surviving process 10x harder. Anyway, its an interesting show, and definitely worth a watch.
May 10, Saturday: Dodge Challenger 500 from Darlington. FOX HD, 7pm ET.
Time for some good old boy action from Darlington. Come on now, you know you can’t beat some good old fashioned Saturday night racing. Look for these guys to beat and bam each other all night as they fight for that checkered flag. After last weeks race, here’s to hoping Dale JR puts ole Kyle Bush into the wall.
May, 11 Sunday: Transformers. Cinemax HD 8pm ET.
Alright, so it didn’t live up to fanboy standards, and we all know what kinds of movies Michael Bay makes, heavy on action, short on story, but hell, its freakin’ Transformers man! Do yourself a favor and just sit back and enjoy its HD eye candy.
So there you have it, something to watch every single day, and all of them in sparking High Definition. So check them out if your struggling to find something to watch, or just want some good entertainment but really just want something thats entertaining and in HD.
