You know what Dwayne? You might be a phenominal basketball player, make millions upon millions of dollars, but I think you just stepped over the line of confidence, to arrogance. Let’s forget that Team USA hasn’t done squat in International play for quite some time, and the days of the dream team have long gone in terms of international domination. You’re on your way to the Olympic games, an event in all merits, that is supposed to be for “Ametuer Athletes” anyway, and your talking smack. The Olympic games are supposed to unite the world in international sporting competition, and basically your talking trash and saying that you are so good, that no one can beat you, and bring on the Gold Medal Tour and parties.
I hope Team USA Basketball gets their asses kicked and again finishes with less than the Gold just so Dwayne can eat his words and look like an idiot. Now maybe the quote wasn’t serious, or was meant in a playful way or whatever. Personally, I don’t care, the rest of the world will view it as another arrogant American telling the world we’re better than all of you, and we’re not in the least worried about not winning, so lets go party because we are so elite.
