M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Happening” Sneak Preview Info! Film opens Friday the 13th of June
I’m a HUGE fan of M. Night Shyamalan and his new movie The Happening is opening in June, Friday the 13th. His films following the Sixth Sense have had fairly mixed reviews overall. His second feature, Unbreakable was probably one of the coolest “comic book” movies I’ve ever seen. The story very well crafted, from beginning to end, much the same as all his films in my opinion. He does such a good job in every aspect of his films, which is probably why I enjoy his movies so much. From his visual style, which is truly a pleasure to just sit and watch, to the stellar and suspenseful writing, to the brilliant casting, and the always incredible musical score. Every M. Night movie has its own feel, and its own distinct style and flow. My personal favorite is Signs followed by Unbreakable, The Village, Lady in the Water, and probably my least favorite of all of them was the Sixth Sense, although at the time, it was truly brilliant. Anyway, on to the sneak peak info…
As you all might have seen my post earlier about the Deadliest Catch marathon, I watched it pretty much all day. During the previews for tomorrows new episode of Deadliest Catch (9pm EST) they advertised a special sneak peak at M. Nights new film “The Happening.” The trailer looks pretty intriguing, and he looks to have once again put together a stellar cast with Mark Wahlberg, John Leguizamo, and Zooey Deschanel. Check out the trailer below.
So what do you think of M Night and his films? Or this new film? What did you think of the trailer? I for one like what I saw, and can’t wait to check out the sneak peak during Deadliest Catch on Discovery HD Tuesday night at 9pm EST. Once again, the film opens June 13th.

Wow, no that looks great.
I love Mark Wahlberg in his alternative films, like this one!!
As for M.Night.
Unbreakable is amazing, one of my favorite films (top 50, I would say).
Sixth Sense was good but I worked it out 5 minutes in so got a little bored and pissed off with the twist.
The village, was a good concept but i just didn’t buy it or get along with it too well.
Signs…….. Now this one annoyed me but I did it enjoy it. It felt like a really poor remake of Night of the Living Dead / The Birds (I also think the Birds ripped off Night of the Living Dead!).
Strangely though, I still get excited about M.Night films. Something in each film is great and I really believe that his best work is still to come.
I’m kinda with you on the sixth sense, and even the Village, I worked out the ending far too early in the movie for it to be a big twist, but I enjoyed it nonetheless because of the actors in the movie.
As for signs, in all honestly I’ve never really sat through and watch Night of the living dead or the Birds, although I’m sure I have seen parts of each at some point.
I don’t know why, I guess I’m just intrigued by the whole “alien” thing, and I really loved the choice of actors and the way the climax of the movie was crafted, and the music especially in that scene just absolutely blew me away.
There’s just something about an M. Night movie that always has me excited!
The ending that I didn’t see coming was Unbreakable…that movie was awesome. Signs is a good one too, and it’s cool to see how everything fits together at the end…worth a rental.

I agree, I probably should have seen the ending of unbreakable coming, but I didn’t, and it was awesome.
Had the same feelings as you about the signs ending as I wrote above. Simply Masterful.
Any movie that is different or though provoking I am all over. Other than Signs I have liked all the M. Night movies.
This one looks creepy.
