Coldplay Viva la Vida Can’t Come Soon Enough! New Video and Phenominal new Itunes Ad Inside!
Sometimes the most amazing moments in life sneak up on you, and for me, one of the most amazing and phenomenal discoveries of my life was Coldplay. My musical tastes are extremely varied although my general listing habits tend to lean toward heavier rock music. Of course a guy into heavy metal couldn’t possibly admit to loving a band like Coldplay, much less even give it a listen before outright bashing it. But getting older and wiser, I was finally able to come to the decision that I will have things in my life for me, and who gives a rats ass what other people think. I have felt that way for a few years now, and it occured right around the time I first discovered Coldplay, however, I have found myself back in and old mentality lately of caring about what everyone else thinks about me and the way I am. Seeing the new Itunes Coldplay Ad in High Definition last night flipped a switch back in my head, and I’m happy to have that clarity once again. Being able to shed that overbearing feeling of caring what everyone thinks about anything and everything in my life, was liberating once again, and came at a depressing moment in my life. You can see the ad inside…
New Itunes Viva la Vida Ad looks phenominal in High Definition if you happen to catch the ad on TV.
The song Viva la Vida is simply amazing. When I hear the song I can’t help but close my eyes and drift off into my own head, which is a good sign because thats the way I’ve felt about nearly every Coldplay song that’s out there, so thats a good sign for the new album. The sound, the lyrics, the vocals, all so beautifully crafted, arranged, and composed moves me on a level that’s indescribable. So if the 30 second teaser ad above moves you, you can find the full song out there fairly easily. 4 tracks have been leaked and are relatively easy to find.
The first official single from Viva la Vida is Violet Hill, which you can watch below. The video is a pretty typical Coldplay video. People might call their videos strange, wierd, thought provoking, or even brilliant. I guess it really depends on how hard the sing resonates through you and how much attention you pay during the videos. But enough of me blabbering, here’s Violet Hill.
Coldplay’s new cd Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends is dropping June 17, and I for one cannot wait. It’s probably the one band I will go to the store and buy their album as opposed to just swiping it off the internet. Viva la Vida is already running through my head constantly since hearing the ad last night and downloading the song this morning. X & Y was a phenomenal cd, and probably the least critically acclaimed, but my personal favorite, so my excitement for this new cd is very high, and I’ll be counting down the days until its release.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it for the first time here: I am Coldplay. If you can’t feel Coldplay, you can’t feel me.

I really like Coldplay also, although I have yet to enjoy one of their songs as much as I love The Scientist, which was a while back. Maybe this CD will have a song as good or better.
Hi Jen! Thanks for stopping by.
The scientist was a phenomenal song indeed. For whatever reason though, I can pretty much listen to every song on every album and find a way to identify with, and enjoy it. Even now, some of the songs just remind me of a time in my life, where I was, what I was doing when I first felt an emotional attachment to whatever song.
Its really odd, because I’ve never experienced that with other music before. But like mentioned above, I’ll never forget the way I was feeling, and the reaction Viva la Vida evoked in me when I saw the ad last night and hearing the full song today.
I’ll also be buying this as a ‘proper’ CD rather than a download. There aren’t many bands that get a space on my music shelf, but Coldplay are one.
I hope it’s as good as X&Y.
